In-Wall Rated (CM) Stranded Cat6 Ethernet Cable 1000 Feet
The Cat 6 standard was first released in 2002 as part of the Telecommunications Industry Association’s TIA/EIA-568-B.2-1 document specification. It is backward compatible with the Cat 3, Cat 5 and Cat 5e cable standards, and as with Cat 5 and Cat 5e cabling, Cat 6 cables consist of four unshielded twisted pairs (UTP) of copper wire terminated by RJ45 connectors. Cat-6 Ethernet cable is used as the cabling infrastructure for 10BASE-T (Ethernet), 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet), 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet, or GbE) and 10GBASE-T (10-Gigabit Ethernet, or 10 GbE) networks. The Cat 6 standard provides performance of up to 250 MHz.
An Overview of Cable Ratings
Cable Matters in-Wall Rated (CM) Cat6 Cable is above the Cat6 standard by supporting up to 550 MHz. It is suitable for 10Base-T, 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet), 1000BASE-T / 1000BASE-TX (Gigabit Ethernet) and 10GBASE-T (10-Gigabit Ethernet).
Our Cat6 cables are made of 100% bare copper wire as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444, which require pure bare copper wire in Cat6 communications cables. This high performance bulk cabling is perfect for your custom network installation projects. Our Cat6 patch and bulk cables are used by major data centers around the world.
This stranded cable is softer and more flexible. It is ideal for assembling patch cables.
